Tres Chic - Lovely Shop

I was driving down to the Gold Coast early yesterday for

the Butterfly Tree Markets

when I realised the time on the car clock was a little

earlier than the time on my iPhone.

I was trying to work out how I got down there so fast when

my alarm had gone off at 5.15am, had a nice long shower,

stopped for coffee and banana bread on the way 

and still managed to get down to South Port by 6.30am

when it is a 1 1/2 hour drive from my place.

My phone had switched to daylight saving time, and happy

to say I wasn't the only one to get caught out.

I have driven past this little shop a few times but is not

open on Sundays, but as I was early I decided to pull over and 

have a sticky beak through the window.

They are on face book and Rachael said they
are working on an online store too.
Will also be opening Sundays closer to Xmas.

Have my eye on one of these for my front garden

under the Magnolia, that's when it gets grows a little.

Which could be a while as they are not known for being 

the fastest growing plant.

I have been hibernating a bit over winter but

will do my best to warm things up a bit.

Heading to Noosa for a market in November.

If anyone can recommend some good shopping spots

I would love to hear from you.

Off to the beach with the kids, having an extra couple of

days with my niece and  nephew.

Lots of goodies and fun to be had

A Lower level Frame.

We went down to see how the  house was progressing on the weekend and we have a lower level frame.

It is great to walk around and get the feel of what some of the house will feel like.

Can't wait till upstairs is up and has a floor down.  Very exciting.....

Beautiful Birdcages at Butterly Tree

Tomorrow is the 2nd Butterfly Tree Markets on the Gold Coast.

I have been madly sewing to build up lots of lovely stock and have a rack full of clothes, my trade mark sweet Ruby and Belle dolls and my new range of bird cages.

These I think are my favorite so far.

Have to excuse my photography, cloudy and windy doesn't help my amiture skills.

A Great Day

Just a quick note to congratulate Jasmin on her first Butterfly Tree Market.

This is the first market she has ever organized, the venue was great, the turn out was great and I'm sure will grow as the word gets around.  Well done Jasmin.

Was unfortunately too busy to get any pics, sorry.

Was lucky to spend the day beside  the lovely Kate and Hannah from Giggles Photography from the Gold Coast.  Pop over and have a look at there amazing work.

Last holidays I took the kids on one of my shopping trips to Ascot.  

We stopped in a the Coffee Club for Brunch, 

The kids ordered a serve of pancakes each, their eyes much bigger than their tummies.

Wish I could say the same for me :-)

Off to Market

I am off to the Butterfly Tree Markets in the morning, will be an early start to get down to the Gold Coast by 7am.   But an hour and a half of peace and quite in the car is worth it :-)

New Stock in !!!

We have new stock on the Website.
I have had these little suitcases in before, but the teasets are new, too cute.

kitchen Inspiration.

Off to meet with yet another kitchen place tomorrow, I've never had such a problem getting a quote.  You would think that doing a full build with kitchen, laundry,  and 2 bathrooms and 4 wardrobes someone would be keen.
Anyway, loving these high cupboards, we will have 3 meter ceilings in kitchen and living room.

Would be nice to have a unlimited budget.

Busy sewing stock for the  Butterfly Tree and Mathilda's Markets in August.

Good news, looks like I will have a mobile eftpos machine  to take along.  

Suncorp has some good deals if anyone is looking.

Little birdy

As promised here is an updated picture of the birdhouse with the little birdy.

I am attaching the button for the Butterfly Tree Markets to my Side bar.  It is their first market but apparently the location is very good with easy parking and a nice indoor area.
Kids are back to school today and have decided it is a good day to sleep in.  Will have to go and peel them out of bed.
