Kitchen Aid Christening and a Sneek Peek

Have finally go around to Christening my Kitchen Aid and

whipped up a batch of Chocolate chip cookies for

as requested by my Luca.

Now off to do some work so I can buy the dining table

from my last post.

Blue

I have used a lot of blue as my accent colour in the house and decided

to paint the buffet and hutch blue too.

It's quite blue but I really like it and I think is shows off the white display

inside well, just need a couple more french jugs.

I painted it blue then gave it a light distressed finish and

followed it up with a bit of a white wash.

My French grey tree from Bed Bath and Table.

Wall behind still waiting to be painted.

And also the drawers to be finished.

The bird sitting on the bottle is a swallow.

We have a flock of them that fly around our house all day.

I call them the dolphins of the sky, they are so playful and cheeky.

The cups and saucers are antique Royal Winton, they belonged 

to my Great Grandmotherand have been sitting in a box for the

 past 2 1/2 years waiting for a special spot.

The jug on the left and the little bottle are from one of my 

favourite shops in Ascot, Lyle & Bank

Set for a weekend of more painting.

Looking forward to getting rid of all the drop sheets and dust

(and builders, sorry boys)

Loving Rattan

Still drooling over the Riviera Maison website.
I was down at Ascot the other day and in one of my favorite shops Lyle & Bank.
I found out  that they have been able to place an order with Riviera Maison and will be expecting a delivery in about 8 weeks.  Just long enough to save up for a few things!!!

We had a quite but lovely day down at Portside, the rain held off which was great but a little chilly early on.

Rachael is doing a great job flying solo.

I fished off my little bird house so will post a little pic later on.  Will be starting on some more this week and getting ready for my first visit to the Butterfly Markets on the Gold Coast.

I took my first official order from the new website this week, very exciting!
I went back to Ascot yesterday to pick up a mirror I saw on the weekend. Thank you A-M for your inspiration, am pinching your mirrors in your boys bathroom.

And on the way  back through I quickly called in to a stunning little shop called Lyle & Bank on Racecourse Rd.
I found 2 of these little lovelies and snapped them up.  Have been searching for some for ages.  Just need one more.  So if anyone sees one in their travels please let me know.
