We have a driveway, just. Poor guys were out there working
away through the showers that passed, driveway almost
complete and down came the rain.

Luckily it passed quickly but they had to start from
the top and re brush the whole thing.

So with lots of painting to do we are moving in tomorrow.
Bedrooms are all painted, thanks to the help of my Dad.
Carpet goes in today and applianced fitted.
Still very wet when I took this, they will be back today to clean,
seal and do the saw cuts.
Still have packing to do, have called in the cleaners, thank goodness.
Just wish we could call in the painters to finish off,
at least I won't have to paint over capet.
See you on the other side.

Looks fantastic! Can't wait to see more. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMekaela, I've been following your blog for quite a while now, this is my 1st comment, just wanted to say keep the house updates coming!!! I'm loving watching your house all come together. We are about to start building ( I live in Perth) just finalising our plans! You have a very similar style to me, so it's lovely to see all of your ideas etc...Can't wait to see the kitchen all finished! I bet you're excited to set up your studio too! Love your blog.x.
ReplyDeleteOh not long now. Happy packing, and unpacking.
ReplyDeleteWOW you must be so excited, it will be great to slleep in your new home for the first time.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the move & thank god for cleaners hey!!
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for quite some time and am now interested in making a purchase from your shop. However it's not online at the moment. I'm aware that you've just moved into your beautiful home and are painting etc etc, but I was wondering if there was any chance of getting one of your handmade dolls? My daughter is going in for an operation on the 30th of May, and I know one of your dolls would really cheer her up. i was hoping to choose one that might look a bit like her, but as I can't see them I can describe my daughter, Sabrina, to you, light brown/dark blonde hair and light brown eyes....... Did you have any of those floating around? I love the vintage/floral fabrics you use for dresses too.
I know it's not much notice, but I'd appreciate your consideration in supplying the dolly.
Goodluck with all that must be going on at home and I look forward to hearing from you.
Marita
PS I tried to send this via email - but bigpond returned it. So I'll check here to see if you've replied. thanx!
Hi Marita,
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find a contact on your blogger page so I hope you read this.
I am having some teething problems with swapping emails to the new house, am hoping to have it sorted out by the end of the week as well as getting the website back open.
Will let you know when.
Hi Mekaela,
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog, yes you are right about the addition of s in Atkin, it doesn't matter how often I say "no s" it still manages to find it's way there! It is my husband's name & his Dad is originally from New Zealand.
BTW you house looks lovely, I look forward to seeing more of it.
Cheers Suzie xx
